Natural LightingCandid1) I focused on the natural lighting style and I expressed it by using the lights in the studio to bring out the features in the mask.
2) My plan for natural lighting was to just get ava to use different faces and my plan for candid was to just take pictures at random times so they didn't look planned. 3) I like how these pictures tuned out so I think I achieved my goal. 4) The hardest part was mostly just finding the right time to take the pictures. 5)I think I did well capturing different emotions. 6) I achieved Ava feeling thirsty, and disgusted, and mystery.

1) My first impressions of portrait photography are that it is definitely a really cool style of photography, however it is not my most favorite style. I'm excited to learn more about it though. 2) I chose to do natural lighting portraits I like these photos because it really shows the natural light from the sun and the lighting is really nice. I am not a fan of these kinds of natural lighting photos because the don't really show how natural the light actually is and they don't really catch my interest.
4) Some equipment you need for natural lighting photography is a camera, zoom lens, tripod, any kind of light source, and a reflector. 5) Recommended camera settings - aperture f/2.8 or wider, ISO 800 or higher, shutter speed 1/250 or faster, automatic white balance. 6) Natural light doesn't like competition, turn the lights off. Get to know the lighting and what camera settings to use. Correct exposure is when you adjust your camera so that the light meter is exactly on 0. The light meter is under the ISO, shutter speed, and aperture settings, and to see where your light meter is at you have to half click the shutter button and adjust the shutter speed and aperture to get the light meter to 0. 2.4 Exposure TriangleA)Lighting conditions. Your lighting conditions are really important when it comes to exposure. If you are in a darker setting, then you would have to adjust your aperture and shutter speed to make sure you a good white balance.
B) Aperture. Aperture determines how much light enters then lens when you take a photo. A smaller aperture number will be brighter because it has a shallow depth of field, whereas a higher aperture number will be darker because it has a deeper depth of field. C) Shutter Speed. Shutter speed controls the movement in a picture. So a faster shutter speed will freeze an object in motion, whereas a slower shutter will create a blurred effect in your photos. D) ISO. Changing your ISO speed will control what is clear, and what isn't clear in you picture. A lower ISO will make everything clear in your picture, whereas a higher ISO will make things up close clear, but the background blurred. 5 Most Important Camera Parts
2.2 Light MeterThe light meter is important because is helps expose your scene and helps find the perfect lighting for your pictures.
you read the light meter by half clicking the shutter button and adjusting the aperture, ISO, and shutter speed to get it to the perfect lighting. you can find the light meter on the camera underneath the shutter speed, ISO, and aperture settings. Aperture controls the amount of light entering the lens. -the larger the aperture, the larger the bokeh. -the smaller the aperture, the larger the area in focus. -the amount of light that enters the sensor can be controlled by winding the aperture. -at the smallest f-number, you get the maximum aperture which allows the most amount of light possible to enter. Shutter SpeedSutter speed helps to control the movement in pictures. -faster shutter speed freezes the subject in motion. -slower shutter speed creates a blur effect on the subject in motion -you adjust the amount of light entering by opening/ closing the shutter. -faster shutter speed reduces the length of time where light can enter, and slower shutter speed increases the length of time where light can enter. -shutter speed can also change the way the movement of a subject is captured. Exposure Exposure refers to the brightness in a picture. -exposure refers to the volume of light the second the picture is taken, which will affect the brightness of the image. -the smallest adjust to your exposure can result in something very different. -exposure can make or break a photo you take IOS SpeedIn a low light environment, we can increase the shutter speed by turning up the ISO speed
- Within Normal ISO speed range, the lower the ISO speed, the higher the image quality. - Increasing the ISO speed allows the camera to set a faster shutter speed. - Noise occurs at higher ISO speeds |
